Visit Canarsie Scholarship Fund
The Visit Canarsie Scholarship Fund is excited to offer a $1,000 scholarship to exceptional young individuals in Canarsie, Brooklyn. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support students under 21 years old who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service, academic excellence, and are residents of Canarsie.
SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA
1. Age Requirement
Applicants must be under 21 years old at the time of application
2. Community Volunteer Work
Applicants must actively participate in community volunteer work at any Visit Canarsie site. This hands-on experience is vital for fostering community engagement and social responsibility
3. Academic Excellence
Applicants should demonstrate academic excellence through their academic records, extracurricular activities, and a genuine passion for learning
4. Residency Requirement
Applicants must be residents of Canarsie to qualify for the $1,000 scholarship reward. Proof of residency will be required during the application process
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
1. $1,000 Scholarship Award
Recipients of the Visit Canarsie Scholarship Fund will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to help support their educational expenses, such as tuition, books, and other academic needs
2. Mentorship Opportunities
Scholarship recipients will have access to mentorship programs and support services to guide them on their academic and personal journeys
3. Recognition & Celebration
Scholarship recipients will be publicly acknowledged for their achievements and contributions to the Canarsie community at an awards ceremony or special event
APPLICATION PROCESS

Interested students can apply for the Visit Canarsie Scholarship Fund by completing an online application form available on the official website @www.visitcanarsie.org or designated Visit Canarsie sites in Canarsie

Applicants must submit their academic transcripts, 3 letters of recommendation, a personal statement detailing their community involvement and future aspirations, and proof of Canarise residency

The selection committee will review all applications and select deserving recipients based on the established criteria
4.
Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award and invited to attend the scholarship presentation event to receive their $1,000 scholarship
